Transition Update

A unique time in FSoS
The University of Minnesota is currently involved in strategic positioning as a process to enable the university to reach its goal of being one of the top three research universities in the world. As a result of this positioning, the College of Human Ecology is being disbanded and the four units currently housed in the college will be located in new areas of the university.

Dec. 19th: Dr. Jan Hogan named interim dean of CHE

A message from the Department Head:
Because we value your support and know of your continued interest in the Department of Family Social Science, I want to provide you with access to materials that will outline the process and provide information about the University of Minnesota's strategic positioning.

We are hopeful that as we move to a new collegiate home we will find access to interdisciplinary collaboration increased and that, as we appreciate the strengths of new colleagues, they also will appreciate the strengths that we will bring to the table.

As we move along in the process, I will provide updates. Until then, we in FSoS remain committed to the important work we do to create new knowledge about family science and to enhance the well-being of all families.

Sincerely,
B. Jan McCulloch
