Prerequisites: FSoS 8013, FSoS 8014 or instructor consent

This course addresses critical issues in MFT research, including theoretical issues, major methodologies, and MFT outcome research on major health and relational problems. Special emphasis is placed on understanding the broader goals and context of MFT research.

Students will:

1. Identify the value and importance of MFT research for the field.
   

2. Critically evaluate the strengths and limitations of current MFT research.
   

3. Describe central issues in conducting process and outcome research in MFT.
   

4. Articulate the contextual issues that shape MFT research.
